Hello all,
First of all, for those who do not know me I am Sharon Valmont I previous member of Cornbury and still always devoted and dedicated to what Cornbury and the group for what Cornbury is and can be. Many members for the executive in the past have been performing there roles with remarkable diligence for many years. After reading and hearing about the directions Cornbury has been going it felt it was time for a new change in faces and skills to lead Cornbury into a new direction in the coming year or two.
Cornbury for me has been a wonderful resource of people and information and even may I say a sense of comfort for me in the past, Cornbury has introduced me to the a wide range of people in all walks of the transgender Spectrum.
I would like to thank past executive who have done such an outstanding job in the past Jacqueline Allen, Stephanie Mitchell, Linda Parker, Joy and Gail who have donated their time and effort to support the group for the many years,
Jacqueline will be a hard act to follow, but I am feeling I am up to the task at at hand will do to the best of my ability to make Cornbury successful and grow. The Future is at hand and it will look brighter as we move through the remainder of the year
I am looking forward to the changes and I am looking at many different ways we can bring Cornbury to the TG community in a new fresh way and make Cornbury a valid part of a trans-persons life and lifestyle.
I want to make Cornbury much more approachable and little less intimidating, I remember how I felt the first time I came to this group in 2004. As I take up the reins from Jacqueline and attempt to step into her shoes, it will a little time while I adjust to the role and responsibilities but it will be a very exciting time for Cornbury and it’s membership in the coming year.
I am looking forward to it and I hope all of the membership will join with me as we build a new vision and help me steer Cornbury into new beginnings.
